When did you know you wanted to be a First Responder (Fire/Medical)? My older brother was on the Fire Department. He would take me along to the firehouse to help him when I was young. After I moved back to Sedgewickville, the department still needed help, so I joined in 2002.

Where were you born and raised? Where is home now? I was born in Jefferson City, spent some time in Sedgewickville, last four years of school was in TN and been back in Sedgewickville the last 21 years.

Tell us about your family: I came from a big family that is spread all over the map. Married to the same lovely lady for 21 years. We have three boys and two girls. We live on our little down hill farm.

How do you enjoy spending your leisure time? I like camping and hiking in different State parks around MO. I also enjoy being outside, fishing with the kids and working on projects vehicles.

People would be surprised I know... I have a bad ankle that I limp on , due to a break years ago. I don't smoke or chew and don't like cats.

What do you like about being a First Responder (Fire/Medical)? Being part of a brotherhood and enjoy helping people. Oh and playing with the lights and sirens are fun too
